Faith Ministry has been pledged a donation of a covered shelter to
replace our existing shelter. With the new shelter Faith Ministry
will be able to once again host outdoor events in which to minister to
people in the Mt. Holley area.
The ministry's current shelter has been unusable for several years
because it has become unsafe. It is constructed of wood which has
deteriorated from weather, and will need to be removed to make way for
the all-steel structure.
The covered shelter will be located
behind the main ministry building under several large shade trees,
adjacent to the ministry's large dining room. Across the back of
the ministry is a second story balcony overlooking the the covered
shelter from which speakers and musicians can address and entertain
those enjoying the outdoor facility.
Faith Ministry anticipates
delivery of the building components around mid-September. The new
structure is a pre-engineered, manufactured steel building donated by
SteelLite Metal Building Company of Tennessee.
We
need
volunteers to help with the removal of the present shelter and with
construction of the new one. No special skills are
required and construction should only take a couple of days.
Because of the simple construction and light-weight
components utilized SteelLite buildings are said to be "Volunteer
Friendly." Volunteers can contact Jack Ferrell at (704) 822-1142.
SteelLite
buildings are pre-fabricated at their east Tennessee factory and
assembled on the building site using only screws. All components
have a galvanized coating, providing superior resistance against
weather for many years. On top of the galvanizing the steel
sheeting has a finish paint coating warrantied for 30 years.
SteelLite
Metal Building Co., www.SteelLite.com, is a metal building manufacturer, specializing
in structures for churches, offices, and retail buildings.
SteelLite will design and fabricated the components for the structure
at its manufacturing facility in east Tennessee. |
